Objectives

  • To help students of Institute who are financially very weak and need finances for fees, books, Uniform, any emergency needs etc.
  • To help the orphan students of the Institute financially and morally till completion of their diploma and help them to get a job or to become an entrepreneur.

 

Members

Any staff member of Institute, Alumni or Industrialist can be a member of society.

Membership

Membership can be achieved by paying a onetime fees of Rs 1000/- and then a yearly fees of Rs 500/-. They will get proper receipt.

Membership Register

The society shall maintain a membership register and the name of member should be entered in it by General Secretary accordingly.

Governing Body

It consists of Patron, President, Vice President, General Secretary, Joint secretary and treasurer. Tenure shall be for three years. Next governing body shall be elected before expiry of tenure. However Patron, President and General Secretary will never be elected and are fixed as Principal, Vice Principal and TPO of the Institute.

Responsibilities of Governing Body

The Governing body will be responsible for making amendments in general rules, taking decisions regarding finances , making future plans and selection of students to help etc. A meeting of Governing body can also be called twice in a year.

General Body

The general body includes Heads of various departments and other members who are not in governing body.

Powers and duties of Office bearers

President

The President will be head of all meanings of general body and governing body.

Vice President

Vice President will preside the meetings in absence of President.

General Secretary

  •  He will call meetings of general body and governing body as and when required.
  • He will sign all documents on behalf of society.
  • He will maintain records of all meetings of governing body and general body.
  • He will represent society at various functions/occasions.

Joint secretary 1 & 2

They will assist General Secretary and may also be assigned duties by general secretary time to time.

Treasurer

He will keep and maintain books of accounts for all receipts and payments, furnish necessary information to governing body, and get the accounts audited twice in year or as decided

by governing body.

Source of Income

Membership fees, donations, gifts, special contribution, grant in aid. The income will be used to fulfil objectives and aims of the society.

Finance Management

A bank account in the name of society will be created and will be operated by Patron and General Secretary jointly and the income of society will be deposited in it time to time.

General Rules for Donations

Donations can be given by

  • Any member of society.
  • Ant staff member of institute.
  • Any staff member of Technical Education Department.
  • Alumni of Institute.
  • Industrialists or any other responsible person of City.

(The donor has a right to get proper receipt of donation.)

Rules for decisions regarding selection of needy Students

A meeting will be called including governing body and at least two members as decided by patron time to time. The points of consideration may include

  • Financial conditions of Parents/Guardian.
  • Marks of student in previous class/semester.
  • Behavior of student with teachers/other staff members/students in campus.
  • Participation in Extracurricular activities by student.
  • Discipline in Institute shown by student / Self Discipline.
  • What type of and how much aid is to be given will be decided by the members present in meeting
