Activities under Atam Nirbhar Cell
It is matter of pride that this institution is among the polytechnics selected in the first phase of ” Swawlambi Yuva Project” an iniative of HSBTE. Atam Nirbhar Cell (ANC) has been set up in this institute since April 2022.
The objectives of ANC are
- To inculcate the sense of Swawlambi in the students and to motivate them to be job creator rather than a job seeker.
- To train, guide, educate and hand hold the students who want to become an entrepreneur.
- To make aware the students about the various schemes of Govt. regarding entrepreneurship.
To achieve this objective ANC has so far undertook various activities mentioned below ;
1) Formation of Team comprising Atam Nirbhar Co-ordinator, Co-cordinator, Branch Co- ordinator and each member is apprised of the roadmap of Swawlambi Yuva project.
2) More than fifteen expert lectures has been organized for students on various aspects of Entrepreneurship, Start-ups.
3) A Short Term Course was attended online by around twenty faculty members and aspiring entrepreneurs “Atma Nirbhar Bharat-Challenges and Opportunities” organized by NITTTR Chandigarh.
4) Awareness Sessions were conducted by ANC in each branch of the institute from 6/6/22 to 9/6/22. The purpose of the sessions was to explain the role of ANC and inspire them to come forward without hesitation to start the journey to become an entrepreneur. More than one hundred and fifty students shown their interest.
The future plans of The ANC is to further motivate, train and guide the interested students so that they can conceive the ideas and prepare the project report.
