Both physical and mental well being are the prerequisites of great achievements in one’s life. However, the growing popularity of computer, video games and television makes the today’s youth very inactive in their lifestyles whereas a greater amount of time spent in these activities must be spent in some physical activities. Participation in organised sports and other physical activities can have many benefits for children. It offers the chance for youth to enhance their physical and social skills. However, a balance should be maintained that matches the child’s maturity, skills, and their interests with their sports participation. Sports offer children a means of entertainment as well as a change from the monotony of their daily life.

Where else can a young, impressionable youth learn values like discipline, responsibility, self-confidence, sacrifice, and accountability?
The institute, therefore, endeavours to organise various sports activities including: hosting Annual Athletic Meet, participation in Inter-Polytechnic tournaments etc. To ensure that the best students are selected, trails are conducted after imparting extensive training by experts, for the scheduled events. Competitions for following games/sports are held in the institute regularly: Badminton, Table Tennis, Foot Ball, Basket Ball, Cricket, Hand Ball, Hockey, Kabaddi, Volleyball and Athletics (Races, Jumps, Throws, etc)
